Terms and Conditions
Acceptance of these terms
Creating an account or using Nebras in any way means you agree to these terms. If you do not agree to them, do not create an account or use the platform.
A digital platform only
Nebras is a fully digital platform with no physical office, branch, or address you can visit — every academy, course, and payment on it exists online, and every teacher and student we work with reaches us the same way: through the platform itself or the contact details below.
Accounts and eligibility
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you register with and for keeping your password to yourself. A student account requires a parent or guardian phone number, since students on the platform may be minors under a guardian’s supervision. A teacher account may publish courses only once platform administrators have reviewed and approved it.
Subscriptions and billing
A teacher’s academy runs on a monthly subscription plan, and a new academy starts with a free trial before the first charge. Cancelling a subscription stops the next renewal but does not cut off the period already paid for. Student purchases of individual courses are separate from a teacher’s own subscription and are processed through the platform’s local payment providers, with a platform commission on the price of the course.
Ownership of content
A teacher owns every course, lesson, video and file they upload. By publishing it on Nebras, they grant the platform only the licence needed to host it, stream it to enrolled students, and protect it from unauthorised access — nothing more, and that licence ends when the content is removed.
Acceptable use
You may not redistribute, download, or share a protected lesson outside your own account, impersonate another person or academy, upload content you do not have the right to publish, or attempt to bypass the platform’s access and payment controls.
Suspension and blocking
A teacher may remove a student’s access to a course or block a student from it entirely, which overrides every other way of reaching that course — a purchase, an invitation, or a direct link. Platform administrators may suspend an account that violates these terms. None of these actions on their own reverse a payment; a refund follows the refund policy below.
Limitation of liability
Nebras is provided as a platform connecting teachers and students; we are not a party to the teaching relationship itself and are not liable for the educational content a teacher publishes. The platform is provided on an "as is" basis, and our liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before it arose.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the platform changes. A meaningful change will be announced on this page along with the date above; continuing to use Nebras after that date means you accept the updated terms.
Privacy Policy
What we collect
We collect the minimum needed to run the platform: name, email, phone and guardian phone, date of birth and gender, education stage, and a student’s progress through their courses. We do not ask for data we have no use for.
Identity documents
Registration asks for both sides of an ID so the account can be verified. Those images are stored outside the reach of any public link and are served only through an authorised route that re-checks who is asking, every time.
Sharing with others
We do not share your data with any third party without your consent, beyond what processing your own payment necessarily requires.
Who sees what
A teacher sees only the students enrolled in their own academy’s courses, and never reaches a student of another academy. Platform administrators have full access according to their role, and every sensitive action they take is written to the audit log.
How we protect it
Passwords are hashed with bcrypt and never stored as plain text. All traffic runs over HTTPS. Authorisation is checked on the server on every request, not in the browser — so no user can reach another user’s data without authorisation, no matter what they change in the interface.
Your rights
You can ask to see your data, correct it, or delete your account by writing to us at the contact details below.
Refund Policy
The request window
A refund may be requested within 14 days of purchase. Platform administrators set this period from the admin dashboard, and the figure shown here is the period actually in force right now.
Who decides
A teacher can raise a refund request and add their notes to it, but cannot carry it out themselves. The final decision — approve, reject, or approve a partial amount — rests with platform administrators alone.
Record keeping
Every refund decision is written to the audit log with who made it, when, and why; the request and the student’s enrolment are both updated to match the decision.
Misuse
Repeatedly buying and refunding courses in a pattern that suggests misuse will put the account under review, and access to the course or the platform may be restricted if it is confirmed.
